Have you ever tried to read 22 first graders writing journal? Some letters are big, some are tiny, letters are all written together, etc. Primary composition notebooks are for teaching Kinder and first grade students the correct way to form letters. As a first grade teacher, I begin having my students write their stories in a primary composition notebook then transition them to a spiral notebook. I have purchased 22 primary composition notebooks for years because our schools would not add them to our school supply list. I am grateful that my school made the decision to add them to our list this year. I purchase my notebooks as soon as the stores put out the school supplies. I have purchased some for the parents who are unable to find them to buy from me at Meet the Teacher. I know it may be a pain, but thanks for being great parents and teacher supporters by taking the time to find and purchasing the Primary Composition Notebooks.

Oh, and to answer your question in the title of your post, mine is yes. Yes you can go to hell while in church because even Pope John Paul II said hell was a state of mind. I firmly believe it's a state of consciousness and not a place you can possibly go when you die.

I don't believe there are no consequences for behavior. It's too deeply ingrained in the game of being human. Those young parents do pay the consequences for having kids so young, no? I paid consequences too, even though I was married, just not the same ones.

Personally, I think it's man that decides in which situations the consequences are ok to pay and when they are not, and not God making that distinction.

While we may see the unwed, teenage parents and now move on as if nothing happened, I don't think for the people involved in the unwed, teenage parents' lives that it would be the same. Because a baby did happen and while it (life) does go on, it doesn't go on as if nothing happened for them. Just us.

And who's to say that our attitude of going on as if nothing has happened is just as "wrong" as the teenage pregnancy? Not saying I believe that, just raising the question.

Congratulations to you and to Amber! I can't believe how fast they are all growing up. It feels like only yesterday that I was holding her in my arms as she slept and now 6 years later she's gaining some independence and doing things on her own. They grow up way too fast, Wen, and Amber is growing up beautifully.

I was in your neck of the woods this weekend....and I just about melted wandering around Bourbon street. Can I say...Bourbon did not need to add vast amounts of sweat to the list of aromas found there!

We had a boy on my sons' baseball team this week who got a bloody nose while pitching. He didn't want to get pulled out so they put a piece of kleenex up both sides of his nostrils and back in to pitch he went. The umpires weren't quite sure what to make of it. He bled thru about 4 or 5 batters and then it quit.

Having 4 boys myself, I don't even flinch at the site of bleeding anymore. Just look to see if liquid bandaid and some butterfly strips will take care of it or if I get to go visit my favorite ER again.
