I thought the name, Officially a Mom, was clever, but I never really got it. Duh, of course we are moms we have children. Even after reading Amanda’s profile, I didn’t really get it. Well, I got it today.
Amber and I had a dentist appointment. Sam was very needy throughout our appointment, but Amber did fine. In order, to keep Sam quiet…I had to nurse him while I got my teeth cleaned. That is right folks, I had my boob out while I was laid back in the chair and the dental hygienist poked and prodded in my mouth. I have never been so humiliated in my life.
I pride myself on nursing my child when and where ever I need to, but today was too much. There is some point where mom needs to take care of some business ALONE. Getting my teeth cleaned is not a day at the park, but it is much worse with a baby bouncing on top of your stomach and, did I mention, MY BOOB HANGING OUT. I am so over this mom thing, for today anyway.
On more give it up news:
When did Amber decide that she was going to fight me on everything. There is a fight to get dressed in the morning.
There is a fight about stirring the chocolate milk. There is a fight about getting a haircut.
There is a fight about how we word things. There is a fight about eating breakfast. I think you get the point. Life was easier when she didn’t talk and didn’t have opinions (which was a very short time between birth and about 3 mos of age).
And George wonders why I eat chocolate and drink Diet Dr. Pepper all day. It is better than drinking vodka all day. At least I will just be fat and not fat and drunk.
One last thing, if there is anyone out there that can answer a few questions regarding: Flickr, Tabblo and uploading videos. I would appreicate it.

My friend called me last night and explained that I needed to get the pro acct on Flickr. I didnt realize how cheap it was and all the features I wanted were on the pro acct.
Dh figured out where the cable goes for the video, but we dont have the cable. I guess that means I cant upload videos until I get the cable.
My problem with Tabblo must have been on their side. I couldnt sign up, but when I tried later in the evening and it went through. It was a problem all day, so I thought it was my problem.
I see so many cool things that people are doing on their blogs and I just cant figure it out. I guess I need to just keep playing around with it. Have you had problems with weird people downloading your kids’ pictures on Flickr? Something I read on another blog.

Glad you got it all worked out. Hmmm, I’m not aware of weird people dowloading pictures of my kids from Flickr (aside from my own family, of course). Could you share the link to the blog that discusses it? I would like to know what to look out for.
What features are on the pro account that you want? I’ve been thinking of going pro but I’m not too up on what pro offers.

This is what it says in the email they sent me to confirm my purchased:
Having a Flickr Pro Account means you now have 2GB of
bandwidth to use each month to get your photos on Flickr,
and you can create as many photosets as you need.
I dont know if you already have it, but I downloaded the upload tool. That made uploading tons of photos much easier. However, I dont know if that is a feature of the pro acct or if anyone can get it.
I am mainly using it to make sure we dont lose any of our photos. All of the kid’s pictures on the computer.
It was an old message from I think 2005. I will try to find it, but mainly she was just angry that some of her photos were downloaded and they were only of her daughter.
If I come across it again, I will link it for you. She just put her photos on private at the time. I think she took them off, because I could see them without contacting her. It is the blog, Notes from the Trenches.
